Rules, Policies and Procedures

CLASS RULES AND EXPECTATIONS:


  1. Come to class every day, on time, in proper uniform, and with the necessary supplies.

  2. Be in your assigned seat, ready to begin class when the tardy bell rings.  Remain in your seat until the dismissal bell rings.  Do not loiter/gather at the door or outside of the door.

     3.  Respect yourself, your classmates, and your teacher.

     4.  Profanity is not allowed or tolerated.

     5.  Food, drink, and/or gum is not allowed in class.  No exceptions.

     6.  ELECTRONICS  are not allowed in class.

     7. Come prepared to work and learn.

     8. Keep your voices at a normal, “inside” level.

     9. Come to class with whatever you need (tissue, sweatshirt, etc.) to take care of yourself.

   10. Come prepared to work and learn.  This is NOT a study hall, an extension of another

         class, time to sleep, or to read a book.         

      



HOW TO SHOW RESPECT:

  1. Pay attention when others are speaking.

  2. Do not interrupt while others are speaking.

  3. Keep your hands to yourself.

  4. Do not bother other person’s possessions.

  5. Do not sleep in class or put your head on the desk.

  6. Do not make unnecessary comments to others.

  7. No “put-downs” or name calling.

  8. Be tolerant of opinions that are different from your own.

  9. Treat others like you want to be treated.


CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE ABOVE RULES:


  1. Verbal warning.

  2. Phone call to parent.

  3. Teacher detention.

  4. Teacher detention.

  5. Office referral and/or shared responsibility.


MAKE-UP WORK:

IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT ME FOR MAKEUP WORK.  YOU HAVE 3 CLASS PERIODS TO COMPLETE MAKEUP WORK.  Many of your assignments will be listed in Google Classroom.  ASSIGNMENTS CAN ONLY BE MADE UP IF THE ABSENCE IS AN EXCUSED ABSENCE.
