I feel disturbed by the topic and have a better understanding that evil can be difficult to define and understand.

I just spent some quality time watching the DVD your students prepared, "Faces of Evil". Please convey to the students, the sponsoring faculty members, the teachers who were interviewed, and all who contributed my sincere appreciation for the work they did. The interview questions were very well done, and students did an excellent job with follow-up questions that they had to create on the spot! Faculty, staff, and students who were interviewed provided honest opinions and shared some difficult personal stories. The research team did a great job, and the team that put it all together paid attention to detail when matching video clips, song lyrics, and interview topics. The original poetry selections elicited strong emotion, as did some of the video clip selections.

Your students are to be commended for telling a story that desperately needs to be told. It is not an easy story to tell; however, I appreciate their courage, their sensitivity, and their seriousness of purpose. The technical skills required to create this DVD are amazing; the students did a very professional job!
